The Finnish National Wind Band Competition is held between the 28-29th of April, 2007 in Tampere.
The venue will be the Tampere Hall and the organisers are the Tampere Wind Bands Company.
THE PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION
The competition is open to all wind bands in Finland and the aim of this competition is to
promote the Finnish Wind Band genre and its music. The wind band can choose the level
at which they want to compete in and with the inclusion of the open level this allows
more traditional wind bands, dance bands and entertainment bands to compete also.
The wind bands will get positive feedback from professional adjudicators at the competition
and there will be financial prizes and merit awards given.
